This Payment and Cancellation Policy outlines the terms related to billing, subscriptions, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds associated with our SaaS services, including URL Shortener, QR Code Generator (Static & Dynamic), and Barcode Generator.

By subscribing to or using any of our paid features, you agree to the terms below.


1. Subscription Plans

ShortestLinks.com offers various subscription tiers to cater to different user needs. These may include:

  1. Free Plan: Limited access to basic features.
  2. Premium Plans: Access to advanced features such as dynamic QR codes, analytics, higher usage limits, branded links, etc.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 Billing Cycle

  1. All paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the option you choose at checkout.
  2. Your billing cycle starts on the day of subscription and renews automatically unless cancelled in accordance with this policy.

2.2 Payment Methods

  1. We accept payments via major credit/debit cards and other secure payment gateways such as Stripe or PayPal.
  2. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the subscription fee at the beginning of each billing period.

2.3 Taxes

  1. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. You are responsible for paying any such taxes.


3. Upgrades and Downgrades

3.1 Plan Upgrade

  1. You may upgrade your subscription at any time via your account dashboard.
  2. Upon upgrading, the new plan takes effect immediately, and a prorated amount for the remaining billing period will be calculated and charged.

3.2 Plan Downgrade

  1. Downgrading your plan will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
  2. Be aware that downgrading may result in loss of features, reduced access to analytics, or data limits.


4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 How to Cancel

  1. You may cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account and selecting the “Cancel Subscription” option under billing settings.
  2. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the next billing cycle to avoid being charged for the following period.

4.2 Effect of Cancellation

  1. Upon cancellation, your paid features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
  2. After the billing period ends, your account will be automatically downgraded to the Free Plan.
  3. We do not delete your data immediately upon cancellation; however, advanced features (such as dynamic QR code analytics) may be deactivated.


5. Refund Policy

5.1 Refund Eligibility

  1. Monthly Subscriptions: Generally non-refundable unless there is a system error or service outage that prevents normal usage.
  2. Annual Subscriptions: Refunds for annual plans may be considered on a pro-rata basis if cancellation occurs within the first 14 days of the subscription.

5.2 No Refunds For

  1. Partial usage or unused time on a subscription.
  2. Downgrades or cancellations made after the renewal date.
  3. Violations of our Terms of Service resulting in account termination.

5.3 How to Request a Refund

6. Failed Payments

If your payment method is declined:

  1. We will retry the charge a limited number of times.
  2. You will be notified via email of the failure.
  3. If the issue is not resolved within 7 days, your account may be suspended or downgraded to the Free Plan.


7. Currency and Pricing Changes

  1. All prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
  2. ShortestLinks.com reserves the right to change prices and/or introduce new pricing plans. You will be notified of any changes in advance via email and/or website notice.
